Support for self-employment in Piedmont: Piedmont businesses are growing; as of 2021, 25 thousand new businesses will be registered. This is also thanks in part to state and regional grants and subsidies.

The top spot is held by Turin (+1.64 percent), but all provinces in the area register a growth rate in surplus ( Piedmont Unioncamere data).

In the past years (2013 to 2020) to address the decline in self-employment in Piedmont (-8.4 percent), several measures were promoted to support pathways to entrepreneurship and self-employment, such as MIP – Putting yourself on your own. (Data: Confindustria Piemonte)

Another initiative funded by the ESF and the European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020 was the We.Ca.Re (Welfare Cantiere Regionale – Social Innovation Strategy of the Region), as reported in a report by Ires Piemonte, with the funding of as many as 22 projects with varied partnerships covering different spatial scales.

Covid 19 represented an overall slowdown in many of these activities, however, outweighed by the revenue from new financing (e.g., the Super Bonus for construction companies) and economic and tax incentives directed toward self-employment.

Call for Allocation of Chamber Vouchers for Digitization 2022

These are Vouchers aimed at micro, small and medium enterprises in the province of Turin (MPMI), aimed at improving services and solutions targeted at new digital 4.0 skills and technologies.

The Turin Chamber of Commerce’s Digital Enterprise Points (PIDs) offer vouchers to support the digitization of businesses related to 4.0 technologies, provided through special annual calls for proposals.

Notice of Digital Vouchers Enterprise 4.0 Cuneo

Outright grants equal to 40 percent of eligible expenses and up to 5,000 euros.

Deadline for announcement: 30/09/2022

The objectives of the call are to implement projects aimed at introducing new 4.0 and green-oriented business models, developing the capacity for collaboration between companies and highly qualified individuals.

The territorial level is asked to promote in their respective constituencies, services focused on new digital skills and technologies in line with the Transaction 4.0 Plan.

The Notice also plans to encourage the digitization of enterprises to restart after the emergency phase due to Covid -19.

Who can access

Enterprises or local units whose activity described above belongs to the territorial district of the Cuneo Chamber of Commerce are eligible for the call.

Benefits provided

The total resources are 700,000.00 euros and the facilities are granted in the form of vouchers.

Each applicant enterprise may be given a maximum voucher of 5,000.00 euros, plus other small incentives.

Funding is disbursed in chronological order upon approval and availability of resources.

Important: The Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to supplement the budget, by special resolution, if additional resources become available from the budget. By executive order, early closure of the call may be arranged if the available funds are exhausted.

Eligible expenses

Among the expenses eligible for funding are consulting and training services related to one or more of the technologies in Lists 1 and 2 (Art. 2(2) of this Notice) up to a maximum of 20 percent of eligible expenses.

If the supplier falls into the categories in items 1/2/3/4 of Sheet – Measure B the related costs are allowed up to 40% of the eligible expenses; b. purchase of instrumental goods and services, including devices and connection expenses, hardware and software, instrumental to the acquisition of the enabling technologies in Lists 1 and 2 (Art. 2, paragraph 2 of this Notice) up to a maximum of 80% of eligible expenses.

Alexandria and Asti

Due date: 12/31/2022

Non-repayable grants for the dissemination of digital culture and practice in Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in every economic sector.

Digitization initiatives with green-oriented aims and approaches and that promote the ecological transition of the production fabric are funded.

Non-repayable grants cover up to 50 percent of eligible expenses for up to 5,000 euros per enterprise and other incentives.

The minimum eligible amount is 3,000 euros.

There are bonuses (e.g., a 400 euro surcharge) in the case of a women’s business, disabled business owner, cooperative society with a number of women members representing at least 60 percent of the members.

An additional 150 euros is awarded to companies with legality ratings.

When to apply?

Applications must be submitted by 9 p.m. on 12/31/2022 unless the call is closed early due to exhaustion of resources.

Expenditures for consulting and training related to the technologies covered by the Call, aimed at interconnecting business 4.0 assets, are eligible (must be at least 20 percent of eligible expenses).

Through grant funding in the form of vouchers, various interventions, including planning and design, are financed, for example related to the Cloud and technology solutions for immersive, interactive and participatory navigation (augmented reality).

How to apply

Vouchers are to be applied for exclusively electronically, with a digital signature, through the online counter “Contributions to Enterprises,” within Infocamere’s Webtelemaco system – E-Gov Services, located at http://webtelemaco.infocamere.it, from 11:00 a.m. on 06/06/2022 to 5:00 p.m. on 29/07/2022.
